OUR HISTORY

From the early days of our company we’ve been fascinated by the idea to combine our enthusiasm for making great games with the rules of innovative business communication. Almost a decade ago we started to design gamification solutions as we consider them to be a better way to engage users and manage motivation of employees. In 2014 we finally established Gamify now as specialist company for gamification, serious games, game based training and app development.

A doctor of human medicine in research at Ludwig-Maximilian-University, Munich, at some point turned out not to be the ultimate career plan for Dr. Sibylla Krane. Instead, she decided to bring her medical expertise to the Gamify now team, where she’s heading all operations and champions gamification and serious games projects for the health care and pharmaceutical industries. And rarely, very rarely she also has a doctor’s advice for the team, e.g. when the gastric flu is spreading again.

Our founder Hendrik Lesser is a serial entrepreneur in the games industry and a former student of Philosophy. Believe us, we sometimes still can feel his academic background! But seriously, as Managing Director of Gamify now, founder of rcp, and president and co-founder of Chimera Entertainment Hendrik is a well-respected personality in the games industry. As president of the European Games Developer Federation (EGDF), he involves himself in regional as well as European-level politics, working tirelessly for recognition and support of the ever-growing industry.

Looking for any kind of know-how of creative producing, Volker Hirsch is the go-to-person on the Gamify now team. He’s said to have a secret list of 40 gamification mechanics in his drawer, but his vast experience in game design isn’t theoretical. He’s applied it all to projects at Ravensburger digital, Travian and today at Gamify now. When he’s taking of his creative production hat, the pedagogue is educating up-and-coming designers at Games Academy. For creative advice on your project, you’ll definitely want to have Volker on board.

Whether your project is a serious game or a gamification solution, you’ll look for a true Game Master to manage it. And that’s where Christian Heidrich comes in: prior to joining Gamify now he served as Producer of the Smartplay products at Ravensburger digital and Game Director at Travian Games, and he used to be Game Master for one of the most famous game brands ever: World of Warcraft. Maybe that’s why he loves our meeting room called “Azeroth” so much.

Starting off his career as a games journalist, Knut Gollert reinvented himself as a designer and art producer. After gigs for publishing houses like IDG and a multitude of projects as a freelancer he finally joined the rcp family four years ago and has been responsible for website designs, branding and corporate identify of Gamify now from the very beginning. Recently Knut has designed an AMP-based mobile website, which beat even Google at their own page speed test. The smile about this achievement is still on his face.
